Andrea Fabris

Andrea Fabris graduated from Veterinary medicine with Specialist qualification in “Farming, Hygiene, Pathology of Aquatic Species and Control of Derivative Products" and “Animal Feeding”.

Director (from 2016) and Fish Veterinarian for Associazione Piscicoltori Italiani (API – Italian Fish Farmers Association) Currently maintains its role as a veterinary consultant serving simultaneously as also the management of the association with a particular focus on aquaculture sustainability (environmental, social and economic) and relations with public administrations at national and regional level.

He is currently: Member of Board of Directors of SIPI (Italian Society of Fish Pathology); Member of FVE (Federation of Veterinarians Europe) Aquaculture Working Group and FishMedPlus Coalition; Member of Aquaculture Advisory Council (AAC).

From november 2018 he is Chairman of the Fish Health and Welfare Commision of FEAP (Federation of European Aquaculture Producers), he has participated and partecipates in several research projects and consultation tables coordinated and founded by the EU Commission.
