Mari Moren

Director of Research Nofima

Dr. Mari Moren is Director of Research for the department of nutrition and feed technology at Nofima AS, one of Europe’s largest research institutes for food, fisheries and aquaculture. Nofima are working alongside the Norwegian aquaculture industry, doing research and creating innovations related to production biology, breeding, fish health, nutrition and quality. The department of nutrition and feed technology runs a yearly average of 40 research projects funded directly by the industry, developing new ingredients, better salmon quality and methods to reduce waste production. Before she took the position at Nofima in 2014, she worked within the research field of fish nutrition since 1998. She was selected to receive funds by the Research Council of Norway as one of two excellent younger scientists in 2007 and was approved as a senior researcher some years later.
