Supporting Governance and multi-stakeholder participation in aquaculture research and innovation

Aquainnova is an EU FP7 project, focusing on the creation of an international framework to facilitate the development of vision documents and strategic research agendas on the sectoral components of European aquaculture.

The project seeks to establish a solid framework for the European aquaculture that will support the sustainable development of the sector, focusing on exploiting the potential for innovation and technological development in the aquaculture value chain.

Project coordinator: European Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform (EATIP).

EUROFISH contributes to the dissemination of the project results and facilitates the dialogue between national and European policy makers, researchers and stakeholders; this involves co-organisation and active participation at international workshops on the aquaculture value chain. EUROFISH disseminates the workshops outcomes and progress through the EUROFISH Magazine and the home page, participates actively in the stakeholder consultations, designs the workshops advertisements and promotes the workshops throughout Europe, including its member countries.
