Regional Workshop:
Technology innovation and
market opportunities

Gdansk in Poland will host a workshop on innovations in technology in the fish processing sector and their influence on new markets. Organised by Eurofish International Organisation in collaboration with the Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Polish Association of Fish Processors, and the National Marine Fisheries Research Institute (MIR), the event will feature presentations by international experts in fish processing technology and in market opportunities for fish products. The event is relevant to the seafood processing industry across the Baltic and in Poland in particular considering the huge added value processing that is carried out in the region. In Poland alone this is estimated at some EUR3bn a year.

The event will identify the latest challenges facing the fish processing industry, the solutions that developments in technology can offer, as well as insights into markets and market strategies. The event is expected to draw participants from the fish processing sector, equipment manufacturers, and fish and seafood traders from the region. Registration is free and includes coffee breaks, lunch, and access to the presentations.

Leading experts will discuss the latest developments in the field of fish processing and the potential for entering new markets.
