Veterinarian (DVM) specialized in "Animal Nutrition" and in "Breeding, Hygiene, Pathology of Aquatic Species and Control of Derived Products"; Involved in aquaculture and fish pathology since 1996; from 2016 Director of API for which since 2001 he has carried out veterinary consultancy and technical assistance for aquaculture companies, dealing with the various health and management issues that concern aquaculture, participating in various ministerial (Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Health) and regional working groups. Since November 2018 he has been Chairman of the Fish Health & Welfare Commission of FEAP (European Federation of Aquaculture Producers) and from October 2019 he has been Chairman of WG1 (Fin Fish) of AAC (Aquaculture Advisory Council). He has carried out and carries out the activity of referent/coordinator in the framework of EU-funded projects (FP7, Horizon 2020, Erasmus +, Interreg). He is part of the Aquaculture WG and the FishMedPlus Coalition of the FVE (Federation of Veterinarians Europe). Co-author in over 60 scientific or popular publications or communications related to aquaculture and fish pathology.
