Knowledge base for growth and innovation in ocean economy: assembly and dissemination of marine data for seabed mapping – Lot 7, Human Activities

Human Activities is part of the European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet) –  a long term marine data initiative from the European Commission Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) – which represents a consortium of organisations assembling European marine data, data products and metadata from diverse sources in a uniform way.

EMODnet Human Activities, www.emodnet-humanactivities.eu, is a map portal where data concerning human activities related to the sea are accessible through a single “entry point”. Data are collected from different archives, then are aggregated and presented so that the privacy and confidentiality of data is not affected.

The project was finalised in September 2016.
