In the framework of the EuropeAid assistance project EUROFISH provided professional consultancy services as a Senior Non-Key Expert in EU Fishery Legislation to the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection. The main objective was to improve the current system for legal approximation process and the level of harmonisation of the national legislation with the EU acquis. Based on the Screening Report for Chapter 13 “Fishery”, the assessment of the degree of alignment and implementing capacity was carried out, the existing legislation of the Republic of Serbia in the fishery area was analysed and a gap analysis was performed. Finally, assistance for drafting the negotiation position was provided.
EUROFISH worked as a Policy and Legal Advice Centre (PLAC) expert.
