Multi-sensor automated water quality monitoring and control system for continuous use in recirculation aquaculture systems – AQUAlity

by Behnan Thomas

The objectives of the project were to develop a low cost integrated multi-sensor and an intelligent control system optimised for farmed species. This will allow close monitoring and control of levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, ammonia, nitrite, pH and temperature amongst others. The monitoring system would be low cost, simple and low energy, which would make it suitable for a wide variety of aquaculture applications.
