DanFish International has concluded in Aalborg with record attendance and strong international representation, underscoring the show’s status as a key meeting point for the fisheries and aquaculture supply chain. Over three days, around 13700 visitors from 49 countries met 400 exhibitors from 30 nations at the Aalborg Congress & Culture Center, a 7% rise on the previous edition. Organiser AKKC attributed the growth to new programme elements, including the NordicRas conference and the parallel DanAqua exhibition focused on aquaculture, as well as Danish Maritime’s “Future Propulsion and Green Transition” conference.
The event’s profile was further elevated by ministerial attendance, with Greenland’s Minister for Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture and Self-Sufficiency, Peter Borg, emphasising DanFish’s long-standing importance to Greenlandic stakeholders, and its role in discovering new products and partnerships. Exhibitors reported active networking and commercial interest on the floor, reflecting resilient demand across capture, processing, and services. Marking its 29th edition, DanFish confirmed that the next show will return to Aalborg on 12–14 October 2027, when the city will again host a major gathering for the sector.
