EUROFISH carried out a socio-economic and marketing analysis of the Croatian freshwater aquaculture sector. The study focused on an evaluation of the current value chain and markets for carp and trout, and identified and suggested ways to improve the trade in these species. The report examined the current status and development of the national carp and trout industry showing trade tendencies and perspectives on local and international markets. It also investigated opportunities to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of the Croatian freshwater aquaculture sector.
