With the aim to extend the scope and increase the use of Financial Instruments (FI) under the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) during the programming period 2014-2020 the European Commission has asked the European Investment Bank (EIB) to set up, implement and manage a single advisory framework: the Financial Instruments Technical Advisory Platform for ESIF Financial Instruments (FI-TAP) 2014-2020

The purpose of the project was to provide the EIB with analytical and scoping services to aid the development of horizontal guidance and support for the EMFF aspect of the Technical Advisory Platform for Financial Instruments in the 2014-2020 programming period.

On 19-20 January EUROFISH attended a workshop on Financial Instruments focusing on EMFF to present draft results. The occasion was used to organise a project partners meeting to discuss the work-in-progress and the follow-up steps.

The project was finalised in June 2015. EUROFISH was responsible for the survey concerning 14 EU Member States. For this purpose, specific questionnaires were sent to the EMFF Managing Authorities of these countries. The answers were collected, harmonised, and sent for the final report that was presented to the EC.
