Expert meeting on sustainable shellfish aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea

EUROFISH contributed to an expert meeting on sustainable shellfish aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea organised by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), held in Cattolica, Italy. EUROFISH was moderating the focus-group discussions on economic dimensions for sustainable shellfish aquaculture practices. The group work on economic dimensions involved drafting indicators and priorities and conclusions of the focus-group. EUROFISH also presented an overview of the shellfish market in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea analysing trade development, challenges, constrains and opportunities for the sector.
