Eurofish International Organisation works in close co-operation with its 12 member countries and has extensive experience in promoting the fisheries and aquaculture industry in these countries, and disseminating information about the post-harvest and aquaculture sectors through the pages of the EUROFISH Magazine. Eurofish also promotes sectoral institutions and the private sector in its member countries by supporting participation in joint booths at various seafood shows. This year the Eurofish stand at Seafood Expo Global also hosted the Ro-Pescador association from Romania. The association offered visitors samples of products traditional in Romania – marinated sprats and rapana (a marine snail) from the Black Sea, cold-smoked Atlantic mackerel, as well as cold-smoked carp and shad from the Danube delta. The samples proved popular with guests from all around the world – the joint stand attracted visitors from over 20 countries – and Daniel Buhai, the managing director of Ro-Pescador, says he will be back again next year.
