Through FAO, EUROFISH had to organise the process of the preparation of fisheries specific SDG 14.7.1 indicator “Sustainable fisheries as a proportion of GDP in small island developing States, least developed countries and all countries.” which was developed by the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators.
An expert meeting with 18 participants from fourteen countries was held at EUROFISH Headquarters. It aimed to discuss and agree on a composite methodology or a standard methodology to measure the value of sustainable fisheries as a percentage of GDP.
