Eurofish has published a new guide to packaging technology for seafood value-addition, that was released at the Regional Workshop in Gdansk . The guide aims at highlighting the importance of developing sustainable and practical packaging options for seafood products that meet the needs of both retail food distributors and consumers. Key considerations for product development include preserving the quality and taste of seafood products, providing new experiences for consumers, and accounting for the seasonality of consumer preferences. The author, Gonzalo Campos, has worked at Sealed Air since 2007 with a role of developing the fish packaging market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. His areas of expertise include concept and product development, packaging development, and branding.
