The European Market Observatory for Fisheries and Aquaculture Products

The aim of the Observatory is to give stakeholders, administrations, and researchers a better understanding of the international and local European fisheries markets. It will look at how prices are set along the supply chain, from the first sale after landing to retail prices.

EUROFISH has been responsible for the market monitoring and the country reports in the following countries: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Spain. In addition, it has contributed to the chapters about international trade and consumption and has participated in Experts Group meeting with DG MARE and the project leader, in order to examine the survey findings and to identify options for the Observatory data feeding.
