What began as a retailer driven initiative focused on food safety has grown into one of the most widely used farm assurance frameworks in global agricultural trade. Today, more than 195,000 producers across 135 countries operate under GLOBALG.A.P. certification, covering 4.8 million hectares of plant production and 3.1 million metric tons of aquaculture output. The standard functions primarily as a business-to-business tool, supporting market access and supply chain transparency for traders and retailers worldwide. The anniversary marks not only the scale of what the organisation has built, but also a forward looking shift in ambition. Beyond its core certification activities, Agraya has outlined plans to address regulatory complexity, climate adaptation, and value chain resilience as part of its 2030 strategy.
