Eurofish is organising an international conference at Swissôtel Tallinn in Tallinn, Estonia on the 17-18 June 2025 in cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture of Estonia. The conference aims to explore the utilisation of invasive and predator species for business opportunities as well as to highlight the threats some species pose to the environment and to the fisheries and aquaculture sector. The increasing populations of cormorants and seals have implications for fishers and fish farmers—yet may also offer opportunities for utilisation. Presentations will also cover species such as blue crabs, signal crayfish, round goby, Chinese carp, king crab, jellyfish, and the Black Sea snail Rapana venosa. Experts from several countries will address the audience, whom we hope to to inspire attendees with knowledge and solutions that can be implemented in their home countries.
